Participants can choose to dress up as characters, and everyone who takes part in the endeavor gets a medal. The festivities also include games as well as a family movie shown on a giant screen. Do you like to dabble in art? If so, Chalk the Walk ARTsplosion is an event you’ll love. On July 8, artists of all ages and skill levels will grab a 4’x 4’ space on the boardwalk to create a masterpiece. No fee is required to participate, but artists are asked to bring their own chalk. The artwork, displayed on two blocks, will be judged and prizes will be awarded in the categories of amateur, professional and youth. Even if you aren’t artistic, it will be fun to be a spectator.
