Family Fun Parades Onto Virginia Beach

Parade on over to Virginia Beach KOA for the event of the month, and stay at Virginia Beach KOA for a fun, September getaway. The Neptune Festival Grand Parade takes place on Sep. 27, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the oceanfront between 16 th and 32 nd Streets. Come see colorful floats in all shapes and sizes, balloons bigger than you can imagine, and the best marching bands around. Grab the best spot on the block, as the streets will be lined with people. Let the music keep you entertained as you wait for the parade to begin. If you come early enough, you can even get front row seating! Many floats will have beads and other toss-away items to throw out to the crowd. This event is FREE and fun for the whole family. Free Air Show Soars Over Virginia Beach

Look to the skies in Virginia Beach; it’s time for the air show of the year! Fly over to Virginia Beach KOA for a fun September vacation. Back-to-school season doesn’t have to be boring. Steal away for a weekend to see the NAS Oceana Air Show on Sep. 20 – 21, 2014. The air show will take place at the Naval Air Station Oceana, located at 1750 Tomcat Boulevard Virginia Beach, VA. The fun starts on Saturday, Sep. 20 at 10 a.m., but gates open at 8 a.m. The Blue Angels will perform at 3 p.m., and you can come see them for FREE. This show promises to be entertaining and something the whole family will enjoy.  On Saturday evening, you can come out to the Beach Blast at 31 st St. on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront for a FREE concert at 6:30 p.m. When the sun sets, a parachute team will perform a jump onto the beach.
