Holiday Parade on the Beach

Parade on over to Virginia Beach this holiday season and enjoy the many sites and sounds of Christmas season. Steal away for a relaxing winter vacation at Virginia Beach KOA. The Holiday Parade at the Beach will take place on Dec. 6, 2014 on Atlantic Avenue between 15 th and 25 th Street. The holiday tradition will feature giant balloons, marching bands from local schools, lighted floats, horseback units, fire trucks, dance groups and motorcycles. There will be entertainment for the whole family! Santa Claus doesn’t want to miss this event, so make sure you catch him during the parade and make your Christmas wishes. Oceanfront Ice Park Opens Soon

Winter is nearly here, so it’s time to lace up your ice skates! Skate on over to Virginia Beach KOA for some family friendly winter fun. T he Oceanfront Ice Park at Rudee Loop will be open from Nov. 26, 2014 – Feb. 1, 2015. The premier outdoor skating rink is coming right over to Virginia Beach in conjunction with McDonald’s Holiday Lights at the Beach. The Ice Park complex will be set up at the entrance to the Boardwalk, where thousands of Christmas lights will set you in a cheery mood. Oceanfront Ice Park will boast an impressive 7,200 square-foot ice skating surface, so grab your favorite people and show us your tricks! Whether you’re doing triple axles or just trying to stay standing, you’ll have a ton of fun with events, activities, and a holiday-themed carnival area for the kids. Light Up Your Holidays in Virginia Beach

Looking for a family friendly activity to kick off the Christmas season? Come out to Virginia Beach for a holiday vacation, and check out McDonald’s Holiday Lights at the Beach. From Nov. 11 – Jan. 3 you can catch McDonald’s Holiday Lights on the Beach at the boardwalk between 2nd and 34th streets. Your holiday light journey will take you into holiday, nautical and adventure lands along the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Dolphins, porpoises and fish will jump around, all displayed in brilliant multicolored lights, as well as Santa and his elves. Check out an extra-large, extra-cheery Christmas tree, standing at 40 feet tall. This “Fanta-Sea” display is sure to impress holiday travelers in Virginia Beach. New displays are added each year, so the show is never the same twice. Drivers can tune in their radios to a special frequency to hear holiday music as they travel through the light displays.
