You can decorate your site for Christmas and visit with Santa, as well as enjoy Christmas crafts and cookie decorating. A tribute to rock music of the 70s, 80s and 90s, the event will have performers of this era like Led Zeppelin and Queen. Rumor has it that even Elvis will make an appearance, singing some of his hit songs. To add to the ambiance, parks will be decorated in Disco Divas and big-hair rocker themes. As a final touch, a laser light show will be seen on a giant screen when the bands are playing. Come stay at our park so you won’t miss the fun. Visit our website and make your reservations today.

Cape Henry Lighthouse

Image
On Father’s Day weekend, Dad would probably like nothing better than to camp at Virginia Beach KOA with the family. Although our park offers many activities, a wonderful off-site outing would be a visit to Cape Henry Lighthouse, which has silently guarded the entrance to Chesapeake Bay since 1792. Authorized by George Washington, it is one of the oldest lighthouses in the country, guiding ships to a safe harbor for over two centuries. Climb to the top of the tower for fabulous views of the bay and Atlantic Ocean. You can show your appreciation for Dad by treating him out to a nice dinner in town. One of our picks for a special meal is a restaurant called “One Fish Two Fish.” Known for being “upscale without the uppity,” it is located on the beautiful Lynnhaven River and features steak, seafood and more. We invite you to give Dad a relaxing memorable weekend at our park. Visit our website and book your spot today.

On June 8 th and 9 th , the Latin experience will also be celebrated on the nearby beachfront at Latin Fest, a gala event filled with the tastes, sights and sounds of areas that bear a  Hispanic heritage. Savor the spicy delicious food, along with the irresistible beat of Salsa and Merengue music. After a nice meal, you can dance under the stars to the electrifying Latin tunes. Another highlight of the festival is a Zumba marathon on Saturday morning. Zumba is a popular fitness routine that combines an aerobic workout with Latin dance moves and music. Salute to Summer

Image
Memorial Day Weekend will be a great time to stay at Virginia Beach KOA, as a star-spangled salute to summer will be held on May 25 th to 27 th on the nearby beachfront. The event will pay homage to our military in typical American style with music of different styles and eras. Although this holiday is a time for celebration, it is also a time to pause and remember the sacrifices of our armed forces. The Heroes Walk on the boardwalk will display essays written by local high school students who describe the military conflicts of our country throughout history. These essays, along with performances of military bands will instill pride and gratitude in our hearts as we reflect on the price that has been paid to preserve the freedom we hold dear. And what patriotic event would be complete without fireworks? A spectacular display is scheduled for 10 p.m. on Saturday night. We invite you to stay at our park, a prime location for celebrating this great American holiday. Visit our website a...

DIGS Volleyball Tournament Weekend

Image
This weekend of May 4 th to 6 th , volleyball players and fans will descend on Virginia Beach KOA campground and RV park, as it will be the site of a tournament involving this popular sport. The competition should be lively, so it will be enjoyable to watch the teams battle it out to determine the winner. You can take breaks from the action at the campground by taking in the entertainment at the beach nearby. This will be the setting for the Virginia Beach Gospel Fest on the 4 th and 5 th , where you can listen to local and national artists play contemporary praise and worship music. Also on this weekend’s agenda for the beach is a visual feast in the form of the Atlantic Coast Kite Festival. This year’s theme of “Colors in the Sky” will feature activities for the entire family.
