Red, White and Blue Hullaballoo

Join us at Virginia Beach KOA as we celebrate our nation’s birthday. The activities kick off on June 29th, when you can enter the contest to see who has the best decorated site for July 4th. Also, show your patriotic spirit by decorating your bicycle and participating in the campground’s bike parade.

All day long on July 4th, the nearby beachfront will be the scene of the Stars and Stripes Explosion, which is a star-spangled salute to our great country. The highlight of the event begins at 8 p.m. with a performance by the city’s orchestra and the Virginia Beach Chorale. You’ll enjoy patriotic songs and Broadway hits, as well as movie themes and folk tunes, all of which have been part of American life over the past century. The culmination of the event will come at 9:30 with an explosion of colorful fireworks over the ocean.

We welcome you to spend Independence Day with us at our park. Visit our website and reserve your spot today.

Christmas in June

During these dog days of summer, what could be more welcome and refreshing than to celebrate Christmas in June! On June 22nd to 24th, Virginia Beach KOA will mark this point in the year that is exactly halfway till Christmas. You can decorate your site for Christmas and visit with Santa, as well as enjoy Christmas crafts and cookie decorating.

On June 22nd to 24th, the beachfront will host an event called Sandstock, which is a modern day beach version of Woodstock. A tribute to rock music of the 70s, 80s and 90s, the event will have performers of this era like Led Zeppelin and Queen. Rumor has it that even Elvis will make an appearance, singing some of his hit songs. To add to the ambiance, parks will be decorated in Disco Divas and big-hair rocker themes. As a final touch, a laser light show will be seen on a giant screen when the bands are playing.

Come stay at our park so you won’t miss the fun. Visit our website and make your reservations today.

Cape Henry Lighthouse

On Father’s Day weekend, Dad would probably like nothing better than to camp at Virginia Beach KOA with the family. Although our park offers many activities, a wonderful off-site outing would be a visit to Cape Henry Lighthouse, which has silently guarded the entrance to Chesapeake Bay since 1792. Authorized by George Washington, it is one of the oldest lighthouses in the country, guiding ships to a safe harbor for over two centuries. Climb to the top of the tower for fabulous views of the bay and Atlantic Ocean.

You can show your appreciation for Dad by treating him out to a nice dinner in town. One of our picks for a special meal is a restaurant called “One Fish Two Fish.” Known for being “upscale without the uppity,” it is located on the beautiful Lynnhaven River and features steak, seafood and more.

We invite you to give Dad a relaxing memorable weekend at our park. Visit our website and book your spot today.

Fiesta Days

Come eat tacos with us at Virginia Beach KOA as we celebrate Fiesta Days on June 8th to 10th. Included in the festivities will be a fun piñata party, which the children will adore. We will also have crafts and other activities during this time devoted to honoring the Latin culture.

On June 8th and 9th, the Latin experience will also be celebrated on the nearby beachfront at Latin Fest, a gala event filled with the tastes, sights and sounds of areas that bear a  Hispanic heritage. Savor the spicy delicious food, along with the irresistible beat of Salsa and Merengue music. After a nice meal, you can dance under the stars to the electrifying Latin tunes.

Another highlight of the festival is a Zumba marathon on Saturday morning. Zumba is a popular fitness routine that combines an aerobic workout with Latin dance moves and music.

You’ll enjoy all this and more when you stay at our park. Visit our website and reserve your spot today.
