Two Exciting Music Festivals on the Beach!

Rock out in Virginia Beach this summer! Don’t miss two unique musical experiences, both happening at the beach the weekend of June 12-14! The 2 nd  Annual Sonrise Music Festival showcases some of today’s leading Christian artists, featuring Kutless along with Remedy Drive, Tedashii, City Harmonic, Manic Drive and others. They’ll be playing at Neptune Park at 31 st  Street.  VIP tickets for Kutless can be purchased at  www.itickets.com .  Non-perishable foods will be collected at the door to benefit the homeless. The second is Sandstock, a tribute to Rock and Roll, taking place at 24 th  Street. This beach version of Woodstock invites artists from all over the country, who cover your favorite rock bands like Van Halen, Guns N’ Roses and Led Zeppelin. Headed out to Virginia Beach for Memorial Day? Start the celebration early on the beach with Salute to Summer. Stay at Virginia Beach KOA for a fun-filled vacation. Salute to Summer takes place May 22 – 24 at 17 th Street Park, 24 th Street Park and 31 st Street Park. This salute celebrates music, summer fun and military men and women who have died as heroes for our wonderful country. There will be three large outdoor stages full of live entertainment. Tasty Brews and Breathtaking Performances

The Virginia Beach Arts Festival is going on now until May 25, so come out and see some spectacular performances before it ends. The festival is taking place all over Norfolk and Virginia, and you can enjoy easy access from Virginia Beach KOA. The Virginia Beer Festival is this Saturday and Sunday, May 16 -17 from 2 – 6 p.m. Come out to sample your favorite brews, and maybe find something new! There will be 65 breweries featuring over 125 beers. Special performances include Pilobolus on May 18 – 19. This performance will take place at the Sandler Center for Performing Arts in Virginia Beach. Virginia Beach is home to beautiful beaches, the Boardwalk, historical lighthouses, fantastic local restaurants and a ton of family-friendly fun. If you’re looking to fill up your calendar for Memorial Day weekend, come out to the Virginia Aquarium Family Great Adventure Series on May 23, 2015 at 6 p.m. The event takes place right on the beach at 27 th street. These adventures will occur from May to the end of August, and each adventure night centers on a theme from popular movies. Tour the oceanfront by stopping at various sites along the Boardwalk to solve a mystery with your whole family. There will be games, contests, laughter and fun. The theme for May 23 is the movie Planes: Fire and Rescue. You’re invited to dress up as your favorite character.
