Blue Angels

Image
This weekend wonderful entertainment is available for residents of Virginia Beach KOA on the nearby beachfront, primary of which is a performance by the Blue Angels on June 1st to 3rd. You’ll be inspired by the amazing skill displayed by these members of our military.

Another beach event on June 1st is the Family Great Adventure Series, which is an endeavor where participants use brain and brawn to unravel a mystery. Afterwards, you can get comfortable on the sand and watch a family-friendly movie.

On June 1st to 3rd, it's tournament time at our campground. Did you play basketball when you were young? Do you play a mean game of horseshoes? Or perhaps you just enjoy participating in friendly competitions, matching your skills against others through sporting activities. You will be in your element, as contests will be held in various games like bocce ball, cornhole and others. Even those who aren’t avid sports enthusiast cannot help having fun playing miniature golf.

Salute to Summer

Image
Memorial Day Weekend will be a great time to stay at Virginia Beach KOA, as a star-spangled salute to summer will be held on May 25th to 27th on the nearby beachfront. The event will pay homage to our military in typical American style with music of different styles and eras.

Although this holiday is a time for celebration, it is also a time to pause and remember the sacrifices of our armed forces. The Heroes Walk on the boardwalk will display essays written by local high school students who describe the military conflicts of our country throughout history. These essays, along with performances of military bands will instill pride and gratitude in our hearts as we reflect on the price that has been paid to preserve the freedom we hold dear.

And what patriotic event would be complete without fireworks? A spectacular display is scheduled for 10 p.m. on Saturday night.

We invite you to stay at our park, a prime location for celebrating this great American holiday. Visit our website and book…

Armed Forces Appreciation Days

On the weekend of May 18th to 20th, Virginia Beach KOA would like to express our appreciation to members of the armed forces for the sacrifices you make to keep our country free and secure. We are offering a 5 percent discount above and beyond our regular 10 percent military discount.

This weekend is also designated to show appreciation for our home educators. We commend you for the considerable time and effort you take in teaching your children at home. As small tokens of our honor for these two groups, special prizes and goodies will be available.

Don’t miss the Pirate Party on the Beach on May 18th and 19th, which will be a fun event involving costume contests, treasure hunts and games. You’ll be transported to another era, as you watch pirate re-enactors sing sea-shanties and provide swordplay demonstrations.

Come join us at our park and enjoy all the entertaining events at the beach. Visit our website and reserve your spot today.

DIGS Volleyball Tournament Weekend

Image
This weekend of May 4th to 6th, volleyball players and fans will descend on Virginia Beach KOA campground and RV park, as it will be the site of a tournament involving this popular sport. The competition should be lively, so it will be enjoyable to watch the teams battle it out to determine the winner.

You can take breaks from the action at the campground by taking in the entertainment at the beach nearby. This will be the setting for the Virginia Beach Gospel Fest on the 4th and 5th, where you can listen to local and national artists play contemporary praise and worship music.

Also on this weekend’s agenda for the beach is a visual feast in the form of the Atlantic Coast Kite Festival. This year’s theme of “Colors in the Sky” will feature activities for the entire family. Novice flyers who prefer to participate rather than be a spectator can attend “Flight Training,” where they will be taught how to construct, fly and land a kite safely.
