Salute to Summer

Memorial Day Weekend will be a great time to stay at Virginia Beach KOA, as a star-spangled salute to summer will be held on May 25^th to 27^th on the nearby beachfront. The event will pay homage to our military in typical American style with music of different styles and eras.

Although this holiday is a time for celebration, it is also a time to pause and remember the sacrifices of our armed forces. The Heroes Walk on the boardwalk will display essays written by local high school students who describe the military conflicts of our country throughout history. These essays, along with performances of military bands will instill pride and gratitude in our hearts as we reflect on the price that has been paid to preserve the freedom we hold dear.

And what patriotic event would be complete without fireworks? A spectacular display is scheduled for 10 p.m. on Saturday night.
