Sample craft beers from popular breweries on Oct. 18 – 19, 2014 under a big tent at 30 th Street on the beach. Rain or shine, the beer will be there! Tickets include sampling and a commemorative glass. Listen to some awesome live music as you sample the beers outdoor and enjoy the lovely fall weather. Judge the skill of excellent breweries that bring out the desired aroma, color, feel, foam and flavor of some of your new favorite beers. The event takes place from 1 – 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Rock Out Over Labor Day Weekend

Tie up your laces, Virginia Beach. It’s time for the race of a lifetime! Stay at Virginia Beach KOA for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon, and turn your running victory into a fun, family-friendly vacation. Races will take place over Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30-31, and the half marathon is on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 8 a.m. Come and rock out on the course, as you are rooted on by a sea full of spectators. Live rock bands line the course at every mile, professionally staged and equipped to push you closer to the finish line. Stay Sunday Night for a concert, ROCK in the sand and under the stars. Celebrate your triumphant finish with a toast at the beachfront Post Race Headliner Concert featuring Train, as part of the 21 st American Music Festival. All half marathon and relay participants get a free entry into all American Music Festival concerts over the weekend with their bib, and 5K participants receive free entry into the Sunday Night Headliner Concert with their race bib. It’s time to sing the blues in Virginia Beach. Come out in September for Blues at the Beach and stay at Virginia Beach KOA – an affordable alternative to a hotel. Blues at the Beach will take place on Sep. 5 – 6 at the 17 th Street Park on Virginia Beach. It’s an event dedicated to celebrating this cherished musical genre, and it features two days of concerts on an outdoor stage. Local, regional and nationally recognized blues acts will come share the stage. In the past, legends like James Harman, Terry Garland, Billy Boy Arnold and many others have performed on Virginia Beach stages. This year, the lineup is just as fantastic. Look forward to hearing Bernard Allison, Damon Fowler, Dennis Gruenling, Doug Deming and more. The event is $5 each day, or $8 for a two-day pass.
