Warm up this spring at Virginia Beach KOA, where the sun is shining and the waves are soothing. With many spring and summer festivals coming soon, you can enjoy family-friendly events right on the oceanfront. The East Coast She Crab Soup Classic is a can’t-miss event for seafood foodies. If you’re a fan of regional she-crab soup, you won’t want to miss this competition among restaurants at the 24 th Street Park on Saturday, April 11 from 12 – 3 p.m.  This East Coast favorite is often made as a bisque with milk or heavy cream, crab, fish stock, and dry sherry. But come out and taste the different spins on a classic recipe. Restaurants will compete for the People’s Choice Awards, which you can vote on by grabbing a ballot. A team of local cuisine experts will also vote on the Critic’s Choice Awards. This is a ticketed event, and a limited number of tickets are available.
