Stars & Stripes Explosion

Our nation’s birthday is special at Virginia Beach because it was here that the first English settlers landed in 1607, right on our shores.

Make plans to be part of the celebration here on July 4, so you can enjoy the Stars & Stripes Explosion at the beach! The Quantico Marine Corps Band, one of the Marine Corps oldest musical ensembles, will perform classic and contemporary pieces to the delight of the thousands who will attend the event.

Head down to the 24th Street Stage, where you can listen to the rock band at 6:30 p.m. and the concert band at 8:15 p.m. Fireworks will follow at 9:30 p.m. Both concerts as well as the fireworks are free.

Alternative entertainment will be available on this evening. Chester B’s Motown Review will perform at the Dairy Queen Grill & Chill 17th Street Park, while The Deloreans will perform at the 31th Street Park. These concerts will start at 7 p.m.

Stay With Us

Most men love spending time outdoors, so a great way to celebrate Father’s Day is to have a family camping trip on that weekend. When you vacation with us on June 16 to 18, the kids can stay free of charge.

Each Saturday and Sunday, we have a special theme. June 16 to 18 is Father’s Day Hero’s Weekend, June 23 to 25 is Pirates & Princesses Weekend and June 30 to July 4 is the Fourth of July and Carnival Weekend.

The cozy deluxe cabins in our tree-filled park are ideal for a restful getaway. We invite you to come to Virginia Beach KOA. Book your spot at the website, or call 800-562-4150 for more information
