Winter Wildlife Festival Kicks off in February

Virginia Symphony Orchestra Presents Babar the Elephant

Virginia Symphony Orchestra presents Babar the Elephant on January 25, 2015 at 3 p.m. This treasured children’s book character will come to life at the Sandler Center when the Orchestra performs. Listen to the delightful music of this ageless classic as Francis Poulenc’s playful music fills the room. Various instruments will be used to illustrate Babar and the other characters in the story. If getting into shape tops your resolution list, then start training now for an 8k, half marathon or marathon race. Rest your legs at Virginia Beach KOA and take the vacation you deserve. Pick your race length and head over to Virginia Beach from March 21 – 22, 2015. The Yuengling Shamrock Marathon begins on March 22, 2015 at 8:30 a.m., and is the oldest continuously running road race in Virginia Beach. The course takes you alongside the Atlantic Ocean, through neighborhoods and across the Camp Pedleton military base before returning north along the ocean front. If your runs have been getting boring, this one won’t be! With a beautiful view of the shimmering ocean, you’ll be in vacation mode even while running. The Anthem Half Marathon kicks off on March 22, 2015 at 7 a.m. and takes you north into residential neighborhoods and along the tree-lined Shore Drive, adjacent to First Landing State Park.
