BabarVirginia Symphony Orchestra presents Babar the Elephant on January 25, 2015 at 3 p.m. This treasured children’s book character will come to life at the Sandler Center when the Orchestra performs. Listen to the delightful music of this ageless classic as Francis Poulenc’s playful music fills the room.

Various instruments will be used to illustrate Babar and the other characters in the story. Don’t miss this awesome family-friendly event. Tickets are just $10 for children and $15 for adults. You can purchase them at the Sandler Center website.

If you can’t make this performance, catch the Virginia Symphony Orchestra on February 1, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. in an Ode to Joy. The Orchestra will perform Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in a thrilling combination of orchestra and voice that will leave you breathless.
