Winter Wildlife Festival Kicks off in February

The Winter Wildlife Festival will take place February 5 – 8, 2015 at the Great Neck Recreation Center. Come out to see intriguing bird activity and harbor seals near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Learn how to observe and identify wildlife in their natural settings.
If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, check out one of the workshops or excursions, which range from novice to expert. Speak with Winter Wildlife Festival exhibitors, including Virginia Aquarium, Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, Virginia State Parks and more! You can plug into local efforts and environmental groups. The keynote speaker will be Kevin Karlson, an accomplished birder, professional tour leader and wildlife photographer.
