Neptune Festival 2019
via vboceanside.com One of the great things about Virginia Beach is that the big events don’t stop when summer ends. On September 27 to 29, one of the area’s most celebrated galas will be held – the Neptune Festival, otherwise known as Boardwalk Weekend. A highlight is the International Sandsculpting Championships, which is one of the largest competitions of its kind in the world. The artistic talent and imagination of the participants will be on awesome display in Neptune’s Land of Sand from September 29 to October 8. Competitions aren’t limited to experts: The event also has amateur and school divisions. Admission is $5 for adults and teenager over 12. Most of the Neptune Festival events are absolutely free, including concerts throughout the weekend, an arts and crafts show and a glorious fireworks display.
