CBN Christmas Village

One of the most magical is the CBN Christmas Village, which will be held on December 6 to 8 and 13 to 15. On these dates, the grounds of CBN and Regent University will become the scene of a multifaceted celebration guaranteed to make your spirits bright. It will feature a live nativity scene, a spectacular Christmas tree and carriage rides, as well as a marketplace, carnival rides and Santa’s Cottage. Also included are special performances by children’s choirs and musical groups. Visitors will even be able to sample German holiday treats. There is something for everyone. Admission is free. Hours are from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The location is 977 Centerville Turnpike. Santa’s Workshop On December 8, the Farmers’ Market will host Santa’s Workshop. Music plays a major role in the magic and festive spirit that descends upon us in December. Home for the Holidays Concert If you love these songs, you won’t want to miss the Home for the Holidays concert on December 1. It will be a USO-style show performed by the Guava Jam Band. Admission is free. Hours are from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The location is the Virginia Beach Convention Center at 1000 19 th Street. Holiday Pops It’s very special to hear traditional carols and seasonal songs played by a symphony orchestra and sung by professional singers. Holiday Lights at the Beach

Beginning November 22, for a price of $4 to $5 per vehicle, you can drive right on the boardwalk through this delightful fantasy. Vehicles enter at 2nd Street, and the show starts at 8th Street. When you come, be sure and tune your vehicle’s radio to a frequency that plays the accompanying holiday music. The event is so special that it was listed in the “Top 100 Events in North America for 2011” put out by the American Bus Association. India Fest On November 10, the Asian Indians of Hampton Roads will host Indian Fest, a gala that showcases various aspects of this interesting ethnicity.
