Boardwalk Weekend 2018

via Facebook The weekend of September 28 to 30 will mark the end of Virginia Beach’s best known party – the Neptune Festival. It will go out with a bang! Aside from the famous Sandsculpting Championships and Art & Crafts Show, the event will feature continual outdoor concerts at the 17 th , 24 th and 31 st Street stages. In addition, the gala will include an Atlantic Sailing Regatta from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and a volleyball tournament that starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday. One of the most popular aspects of the weekend is the grand fireworks display at 9 p.m. Saturday night. It can be seen from any point along the waterfront, so bring a blanket to relax on while watching. On top of all this, the event will offer a parade from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday with more than 100 floats, costumed characters, military units and marching bands.
