Fall Camping in Virginia Beach

via Travel & Leisure
Some people feel fall is the best season for camping for an array of reasons. It’s the perfect time to engage in long nature hikes or other vigorous recreational activities that can become uncomfortably warm in the summer. The dipping temperatures also make sitting around a campfire at night, telling stories and drinking hot chocolate, blissfully cozy. Many people also adore being outdoors when the trees are ablaze with glorious hues of orange, red and gold.

In addition to general pleasures associated with autumn, every area has its particular pleasures. Those in Virginia Beach include less crowded beaches, where you can connect with nature and admire the sunrise over the ocean. It’s also wonderful to visit U-pick-it farms that offer produce such as apples, blackberries and pumpkins.

Harvest Fair

If you plan to come to our Fall Family Festival on October 19 and 20, you can also attend the Harvest Fair, which will be held on October 20 at the Virginia Beach Farmers Market. It will include a pumpkin decorating contest, craft show and carnival, as well as food trucks, artisans and music by Dallas Band.

Admission is free. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The address is 3640 Dam Neck Road.
