Valentine’s Day Getaway
Virginia Beach is a great destination for a Valentine’s Day weekend
getaway. You can pack a picnic lunch and eat it on the waterfront while
enjoying the wintertime ocean landscape. Another idea is to have a fancy meal
at a one of the local romantic restaurants, which offer delicious food and
wonderful ambiance.

Regardless of what you choose to do, we recommend a splurge at The Royal
Chocolate. It’s the perfect way to end an evening with your spouse. Try the
chocolate-covered strawberries or apples with chocolate and caramel coating.
The chocolate fondue is very popular as well. You’ll find the shop at 164
Central Park Avenue in Town Center.
U.S. Navy
Band Concert
Something very special is coming to the city on February 25 — the U.S. Navy Band Concert. The
band, along with the Sea Chanters chorus will present Broadway tunes, pop music
and patriotic songs, making it a family-friendly performance that delights
people of all ages.
Admission is free, but a ticket is required. Showtime is 7 p.m. The
location is the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts at 201 Market Street.
