Sunsets and Stargazing
via dcr.virginia.gov |
Once darkness descends, it’s the perfect place to
admire the glittering starry hosts strewn across the black velvet sky. When the
weather isn’t suitable for stargazing, your guide may take you on a forest hike
to learn about local history and to look for owls.
Admission is $8 to $10. Hours are from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The address is
4001 Sandpiper Road. (Tour-goers meet at Back Bay National Refuge for
transportation.)
DIY
Workshops
Another activity option is to attend a DIY Workshop. On several nights a
week, AR Workshops provides hands-on experience, when you can create something
attractive or functional for your home. Project choices include wall hangings,
canvas bags, lazy susans, wooden boxes and more. This is great fun for people
who enjoy crafts.
Project prices range from around $38 to $66. The address is 313 Laskin
Road, Ste. 101.
