Stars and
Stripes Explosion
On July 4, come enjoy the Stars and Stripes Explosion, which features the
great music that has been part of the weft and woof of America for decades.
Tribute bands will perform beloved patriotic songs, movie themes, folk music
and Broadway standards on 4 stages along the waterfront. If you’d like to hear
traditional July 4th music, head to the 24th Street
Stage. The star-bangled climax will involve a spectacular fireworks display of
vibrant bursts of color over the ocean.
Admission is free. Concerts start at 8 p.m., and the fireworks begin at
9:30 p.m. Locations include the 17th, 20th, 24th
and 31st Street Stages.
Spirit of
America Week
From July 4 to 7, the campground is hosting Spirit of America Week, which
will include a patriotic parade, crafts and cookie decorating, as well as
watermelon and hot dog eating contests. Other highlights are a movie under the
stars, an ice cream social and a performance by an Elvis impersonator.
