Spring Craft Market

via Fairs and Festivals
The arrival of milder weather makes it enjoyable to get out and about, attending events like the Virginia Beach Spring Craft Market on March 22 to 24. It will feature more than 150 artisans and artists from across the country, offering candles, photography, handcrafted jewelry, woven baskets, toys, specialty foods and fine art. In addition, exhibitors will introduce new lines of home accessories such as outdoor furniture, wind chimes, welcome wreaths, garden statuary and birdhouses. The event is a good opportunity to meet handcrafters and shop for unique items.

Admission is $7 for anyone over 12. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The location is the Convention Center at 1000 19th Street.

Artisan Festival and Gathering of the Guilds

A similar event, the Artisan Festival and Gathering of the Guilds, will be held on April 6. It presents another chance to shop for handcrafted items and learn about the skills used to create them. The gala will include an Easter egg hunt and scavenger hunt as well.

Admission is free. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The location is the Virginia Beach History Museum at 3131 Virginia Beach Boulevard.
