March Events at Sandler Center

A local treasure, the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts is the venue for great year-round entertainment. Below are two upcoming musical plays to put on your calendar.

Mary Poppins

Ever since the Disney musical Mary Poppins debuted in the 1960s, it has been capturing hearts across the country with its charming storyline and lovely songs. The show’s popularity will never wane, and its magic will never dim. On March 1 and 2, the Virginia Musical Theatre will present the play at the Sandler. In addition to the original songs, it will feature wonderful new tunes and choreography.

Ticket prices range from $20 to $65. Showtimes are at 8 p.m. on March 1 and at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on March 2. The address is 201 Market Street.

Frozen Jr.

On March 15 and 16, the Harrah Players will perform another Disney musical, Frozen Jr., at the Sandler. The delightful show is based on the 2018 Broadway production of Frozen.

Ticket prices are $20 TO $25. Showtimes are at 7 p.m. on March 15 and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on March 16. The address is 201 Market Street.
