The Messiah – the Ultimate Christmas Experience

Down through the ages, people across America and Europe have been attending performances of The Messiah at Christmastime. The lyrics that tell of Christ’s birth, death, resurrection and triumphant return to Earth are set to brilliant musical scores that range from tender to majestic. Some feel that the work is the most exquisite piece of music ever written. There is no better way to remember the reason for the season than hearing this production by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and Chorus on December 13.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets range from $25 to $47. The location is Regent University Theatre at 1000 Regent University Drive.

Mark your calendars for December 15 and 22, when Sage Kitchen at Anderson’s presents Breakfast with Santa. For a fee of $10 for children and $15 for adults, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast and take pictures with St. Nick. An additional fee of $15 will permit you the opportunity of engaging in gingerbread house decorating.
