Summertime Water Fun

via Coastal Living
There is nothing like having a big, beautiful ocean for enjoying water spots; and in Virginia Beach, you have plenty of activity options. Aside from swimming and building sandcastles, you can engage in parasailing, jet skilling, surfboarding and kayaking. Anglers can fish from the pier, go on a charter fishing expedition or head to Rudee Inlet, Lynnhaven Inlet or Back Bay to enjoy their sport. Other activity choices include spending some time at a waterpark or taking an exciting whale-watching cruise.

Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art

Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from the water and visit some of the local attractions. If you like modern art, we suggest putting the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art on your sightseeing list. It’s only a short walk from the beach, and you can spend a lovely couple of hours browsing through the paintings and letting your imagination soar. The gift shop carries works by local artisans, so you may find something lovely to bring home. If you plan to be in town for a while, they offer art classes.

A small admission is charged, and parking is free. The address is 2200 Parks Avenue.
