Summer in the City
We’ve entered the height of the active summer season, when many events
are scheduled. In addition to the beach, boardwalk and local attractions,
you’ll enjoy the festivities below.
via Virginia Beach Symphony Orchestra |
Symphony
by the Sea Concert Series
Beginning July 12, and continuing every other Thursday night throughout
the summer, local symphony orchestras will perform pop music concerts at the 31st
Street Stage Park. Come savor pleasant ocean breezes while the sound of
familiar tunes fills the air. Don’t miss these magical evenings by the sea.
Admission is free. Hours are from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Dreams
& Beams Video & Laser Show
On July 10, July 24 and August 7, our city will provide Video & Laser
Shows at the 20th Street Beach Stage. The multimedia displays, which
use innovative technology, are a sea fantasy and celebration of everything
Virginia Beach. Shows start at 9:30 p.m. and are repeated every fifteen minutes
through 10:30 p.m.
Landstown
Commons Cruise-In
Classic car enthusiasts will love attending the cruise-in held every
Saturday evening through the end of October at the shopping mall, Landstown
Commons. It’s a good time to shop because the merchants will offer discounts.
Hours are from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The address is 3312 Princess Anne Road.
