Latin Fest

via Virginia.org
On June 23 and 23, the waterfront will be pulsating with exciting Latin music, including salsa, jazz and merengue. There is something about a Latin beat that makes people want to dance, so grab your significant other and plan to cut a rug under the stars. Local and regional musicians will perform on a giant stage at 24th Street. The event will also offer cultural activities and vendors.

Zumba is a wildly popular fitness craze that involves dancing to Latin tunes. An array of instructors will be on hand on Saturday morning to teach their moves. You can participate as little or as much as you like.

Admission is free. In addition to the 24th Street Stage, some festivities will be held at the Main Beach Stage and the DQ Grill and Chill 17th Street Park.

Honey Festival

The Honey Festival on June 23 will feature music from Dallas Band, a craft show and children’s activities. If you don’t have a furry critter to grace your home and light up your life, you may want to check out the dogs that will be available for adoption.

Admission is free. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The location is the Virginia Beach Farmers Market at 3640 Dam Neck Road.
