Come to the She Crab Soup Classic

Some of the cuisine of Virginia Beach is based on the abundant fresh seafood that is available in the area. A favorite local dish, She Crab Soup, is famous up and down much of the East Coast. It’s a delectable affair of meat from Atlantic Blue Crabs that is enveloped in a bisque-like broth of milk or cream, flavored with mace, shallots and a small dash of sherry. On April 7, area restaurants will compete with each other for the honor or receiving the People’s Choice Award and the Critic’s Choice Award at the She Crab Soup Classic.

Hours are from noon to 3:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $17.50, and day-of-event tickets, if available, are $25. The location is the 24^th Street Stage Park at 2400 Atlantic Avenue in Virginia Beach.
