Virginia Beach Farmers’ Market
The Virginia Beach Farmers’ Market carries farm-fresh produce and baked goods, as well as honey, jams and pickles. In addition, it features a seafood market, butcher shop, organic grocer, florist, ice cream shop and candy store.
Each month, it hosts a special event. This month’s gala, called Thanksgiving with all the Trimmings, will be held on November 18. It will include live music, food trucks and a crafts show. At 11 a.m., a demonstration on how to carve a turkey will be provided. Patrons will also have the opportunity to make a Christmas card for a veteran. No admission is charged, but please bring a nonperishable food item for the Food Bank.
Hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The address is 3640 Dam Neck Road, Suite 510.
Old Beach Farmers’ Market
Located in the parking lot of Croc’s 19th Street Bistro, Old Beach Farmers’ Market is one block from the Convention Center and six blocks from the ocean. Aside from seasonal fruits and vegetables, it carries a host of goodies such as salsas, cheeses and savory foods from local chefs. It’s open from 9 a.m. to noon on November 18 and December 16.
