Mark your calendars for November 11, when the India Fest will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

The local Indian community will present the event for those who are interested in experiencing the art, fashion, dance and cuisine of the ethnicity. This year’s cultural program will involve the Philippines as well as India.

Foodies will enjoy sampling dishes such as curry, Indian bread and dosa. Activities on the agenda also include a student talent contest, science competition and a photo booth, where people can dress in ethnic attire and take pictures.

Admission and parking are free. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The address is 1000 19th Street.
