Devon Grube Memorial BBQ Classic
On October 6 to 8, our campground will host the Devon Grube BBQ Classic, when 24 Kansas City BBQ Society teams from around the country will compete for a grand prize of $10,000. Attendees can chow down on mouthwatering edibles from a variety of food trucks.
Yet the event is more than a competition: it’s a grand party featuring the music of several groups. Whether you like bluegrass, country or a blend of genres, the entertainment lineup has something for everyone.
Best of all, the BBQ Classic is a tribute to Devon Grube, a U.S. Navy SEAL who lost his life in December of 2016. The proceeds will go to his wife and three young children, as well as Operation Once in a Lifetime.
Tickets are on sale now. A weekend pass to the event is $20. Come enjoy the food and music, knowing the purchase price will go to a worthy cause.
