Oktoberfest
On September 16, Oktoberfest Eastern Virginia will be held at the Hunt Club Farm.

It is the local version of the huge Bavarian folk festival that attracts 6 million people globally every year. Even if you don’t have a drop of German blood in your ancestry, it’s always interesting to experience the cultures that make up the great American melting pot.
The event will feature festival games, live music and dance performances, along with German beers and food. Artisan vendors will be on hand as well.
Hours are from noon to 6 p.m., and admission starts at $25. The address is 2388 London Bridge Road.
Oceana Air Show
The Oceana Air Show on September 16 and 17 will feature thrilling performances by the Blue Angles, in addition to a concert, exhibits and food. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the location is the Naval Air Station Oceana at 1750 Tomcat Boulevard. Admission is free
