Many people are fascinated with the WWII era.

Remembering this period makes Americans proud as they think of the skill and heroism of our military as they strove and sacrificed to preserve our freedoms. On the weekend of May 19 to 21, the Military Aviation Museum is hosting an event to honor the men and women who have served our country so well. It will include reenacting programs, an air show and entertainment of the 1940s.

On Saturday, the festivities will begin at 10 a.m. and culminate at 9 p.m. after a big band dance. Sunday’s schedule of activities starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. The air show on both days is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Single-day tickets for adults are $25, and two-day tickets are $45. Attendance of the hanger dinner and dance is an additional $20. You may purchase tickets online. The address is at 1341 Princess Anne Road.
