Food Events Coming Up in April
Virginia Beach is known for its seafood, but it has other mouth-watering dishes as well. You can look forward to two April events that permit you to sample some of the most popular area edibles.

The East Coast She Crab Soup Classic will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on April 8. It is a competition among the city’s restaurants that focuses on a favorite local menu item – she crab soup. Attendees may sample the entries and cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award. The location of the event is 24th Street Stage/Park.
On April 22, Chick’s Oyster Bar will host Chick's Seafood Festival. Visitors can taste delectables made by several restaurants, and music will be provided by The Tiki Bar Band and Cody & Austin. Hours are from noon to 5 p.m., and tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Aside from an array of seafood dishes, it will include barbeque.
