MacArthur on Ice

Have you ever been mesmerized as you watched the beauty and grace of figure skating competitions on TV?

Even people who aren’t normally sports fans adore the artistry of gliding around an ice rink and choreographing movements to music. Whether you are an experienced skater or a first-timer, you can engage in this activity at the MacArthur Center between now and January 17. The 7,200-square-foot outdoor ice rink, which offers exhibitions and private lessons, is the perfect place for a family outing.

Don’t feel intimidated if you’ve never skated on ice. Who knows? You or your child might be the next Dorothy Hamill!

Admission is $7 with an additional $7 for skating rental. The address is 300 Monticello Avenue in nearby Norfolk. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
