Santa’s Seaside Village
Virginia Beach has no shortage of seasonal events to make your spirits bright. Santa’s Seaside Village is a beachy type of Christmas attraction that has animated displays, live entertainment, shopping and Santa Clause.

Housed in a giant tent, it features scenes of elves busily packing toys to be delivered on Christmas Eve. A visit involves sampling treats in Santa’s Sweet Shoppe, shopping at Merchant’s Square and watching crafts demonstrations, as well as listening to carolers and storytellers. Children will enjoy the carnival rides, petting zoo and pony rides.
The village runs in the evenings on Friday through Sunday, starting November 25 and continuing until January 1. Admission is $4 per person. It is close to McDonald’s Holiday Lights at the Beach, and you may purchase a combo ticket of both attractions for $20,
Dough Joe’s
Bustling about during the holidays makes you work up an appetite. When you need a bit of sustenance, stop at Dough Joe’s for scrumptious bites of deliciousness in the form of donuts. The location is 208 23rd Street.
