Halloween Spooktacular

The city of Virginia Beach gives area residents safe options for trick-or-treating. One is to attend Town & Treat at one of the local malls, but another nice choice is the Halloween Spooktacular at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts.

On October 29, dress up in your Halloween costumes and enjoy the Virginia Symphony Orchestra play spooky music. Attending this one-of-a-kind event will be a fun way to celebrate the holiday. Hours are from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the cost of admission starts at $11.

Fishing Pier

If you like to fish, one of the best places to engage in this activity is at the city’s fishing pier. Regardless of what you catch, the view is superb. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

On the way to the pier, stop at the small gift shop at the side and pick up some to-die-for fudge. It will be fun to browse through the other shops on the pier as well.
