Set up your beach chairs on August 29-31 as four major headline bands take the 5 th street main stage. AMF music fans will have the option to purchase Preferred Viewing directly in front of the main stage, which allows access to preferred area beer and wine concession tents. Virginia Beach Explodes with Chalk Art

If you’re looking for a different kind of explosion after Fourth of July fireworks, come out to the Chalk the Walk ARTsplosion on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Stay at Virginia Beach KOA to make a vacation out of it! Hundreds of artists and “wanna-be” artists will turn the boardwalk into a canvas of color on July 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants draw four-by-four foot chalk drawings for three blocks along the boardwalk. Two hundred competitors will produce chalk drawings for a chance to win the overall divisions of amateur, professional and youth. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded for each. If you’re an artist, consider registering on the boardwalk at 17 th street. You just have to register by 1 p.m. and complete your drawing by 3:30 p.m. to be eligible for prizes.
