Sky High Entertainment in Virginia Beach in May!
The festival season in Virginia Beach continues in earnest.
One of the most dramatic events this month will occur in the skies over Virginia Beach. From May 16th through May 18th, keep your eyes peeled for the 6th Annual Warbirds Over the Beach Air Show. A sneak peak at the weekend events includes practice flights, rides on Warbirds, live music, a World War II re-enactment in the sky and a Saturday night dance at the hangar.
Get a stunning, up-close view of each of the World War II aircraft fully restored and airworthy. Tickets for the entire weekend or just one day are available starting at $10 for children and $25 for adults. Explore the flight museum, where the full collection of World War II aircraft will be on display, and peruse memorabilia and collectibles displayed by vendors.
Weekend activities begin at 9 a.m. Friday and end at 5 p.m. Sunday evening. Click here for more information.
On Saturday, May 17, right in the middle of the Warbirds Show, is the one-day 11th Annual International Wine Festival, which takes you around the world, showcasing wines from nine different worldly locales, all without even showing your passport!
This event, a part of the famed Neptune Festival, transforms Neptune’s Park at 31st Street into a wine haven with tasting stations devoted to each featured wine selection. Only a limited number of tickets are available, with $30 tickets available until May 16th and $35 tickets available on the day of the event, only if there are unsold spaces.

Looking farther ahead, don’t forget the annual Pungo Strawberry Festival will be held over Memorial Day weekend in Virginia Beach. Plan now to attend that mouth-watering event.
