Virginia Beach is a town that loves to celebrate with festivals. Besides the wonderful beachfront location, Virginia Beachers have a history of throwing a great party and Springtime is a great time to do it!

In the coming weeks are a number of events that will appeal to people from all walks of life.

Start your vacation by spending the Easter weekend at the Virginia Beach KOA. The campground will sponsor an egg hunt and a special activity for little campers: planting “magic” beans and seeing what “sprouts up” overnight.

The biggest event may be the North American Sand Soccer Championship (NASSC), the world's largest beach soccer event which will be held on the beaches June 6-8. With more than 8,500 youth and adult players of all skill levels (novice through adult), the tournament features nearly 60 surfside fields located on more than 1.25 miles of resort beach. Attracting 25,000 players from 20 states and several countries, the competition is viewed by some 100,000 spectators during the weekend.

Several “SideKick” attractions include beach foot volley, beach tennis, beach wrestling, beach coed football and beach rugby. A wide range of entertainment venues, celebrities and the Pro Am men's U.S. OPEN sand soccer national championships in a beach stadium ensure an exciting, internationally recognized sports and cultural attraction.
