Spring has sprung, so it’s not too early to begin thinking about the upcoming camping season!
Sweet Deal Details
Virginia Beach KOA offers several incentives each spring to entice campers into the great outdoors.
For starters, Kids Camp Free through April 30 at the Virginia Beach KOA. This means anyone under the age of 18 gets in free to this delightful KOA.
On the heels of this promotion is Care Camps Big Weekend, May 9-10. This KOA-wide event allows all campers who pay to camp the night of May 9 to get the night of May 10 free. All proceeds from camping and special activities go to support Care Camps, which provide a summer camping experience for children who are undergoing cancer treatment.
Homeschool Appreciation Weekend is May 16-18. Parents who homeschool their children and pay for one night get the second night free. This third annual event is unique to the Virginia Beach KOA. Campground Managers Keith and Barb Stachurski are homeschoolers and know the challenges of homeschooling.
“By the end of the school year, everyone needs a break,” Barb says.
The Stachurskis tell their fellow homeschoolers: Come get a much-needed break and create some family memories with fun activities, relaxation and recreation. The entire weekend is dedicated to homeschoolers with lots of arts and crafts, a dunk tank, flashlight candy hunts and other special events. Proof of homeschooling is required to get discount.
Kids camp free again on Father’s Day Weekend, June 13-15. Give Dad exactly what he wants for Father’s Day this year – quality family time in the great outdoors at the Virginia Beach KOA.
