Come and Enjoy the Running Races in Virginia Beach March 14-16

Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Virginia Beach as part of the 2014 Yuengling Shamrock Marathon, Half Marathon and 8K. These and affiliated races will be staged March 14-16 in Virginia Beach.

The weekend of racing begins on Saturday, March 15, with the TowneBank 8K, the 8K Middle School Challenge, the Leprechaun Dash and Operation Smile Final Mile.

On Sunday, March 16, the Anthem Half Marathon and Yuengling Shamrock Marathon will be staged.

The races will attract a field of 28,000 runners.

There is a Sports & Fitness Expo on Friday, March 15, and in conjunction with Saturday’s events.

The event features races and challenges to accommodate all ages and skill levels. The course is flat, fast and scenic as it follows along the beautiful oceanfront. Runners will recover at huge post-race parties, that will feature live entertainment, ice cold Yuengling beer and much more.
