Sandstock Rock Tribute
On June 21 through 23, campers at Virginia Beach KOA can enjoy the beach version of Woodstock at an event called Sandstock – A Tribute to Rock and Roll. Beachgoers can hear hits of Led Zepplin, Journey and Queen, as national and local artists celebrate the music of the 70s, 80s and 90s. For a special treat, the festivity will even include tribute performances to a legend who is the favorite of many -- Elvis. Topping the evening off, a laser light show will be displayed on a giant screen. This music extravaganza will also feature activities and games for all ages.
In another blast from the past, Mount Trashmore Park will host A Totally 80s Party, a concert that is part of their Party in the Park series. Dig out your old acid-washed jeans to wear to this 80s affair. The Party will be at the Town Center on June 21 from 7 to 10 p.m.
Remember that the Old Beach Farmer’s Market will be open at 620 19th Street on June 22 from 8 a.m. to noon. Come pick up some luscious locally grown produce.
