Boardwalk Astronomy

Do you love to gaze up at the night sky, admiring the glories of the starry hosts? A special event coming up on August 28 is Boardwalk Astronomy, where campers at Virginia Beach KOA can get a telescopic view of visible planets, craters on the moon and passing satellites, along with interesting stars. Attendees can learn to identify constellations, as well as find out the latest discoveries from the scientific world. Additionally, the Hubble Space Telescope will be on display.

Aside from this event, on August 24 the boardwalk will have a free concert. Performing will be Parrots of the Caribbean, who will provide a tribute to Jimmy Buffet.

Back at the park, a fun time awaits residents on August 24 through 24 at our Goin’ Hawaiian weekend. Look through your closets to find flowered shirts and dresses to wear while you enjoy beach music and competitions. A cool treat available will be Kona shaved ice. Visit our website and make your reservations today.
